Meet Joe & Matt Deitch

JOE DEITCH
FOUNDER
Joe is the chairman of Commonwealth Financial Network, which he founded in 1979 and which currently has $250B in assets under management. Joe also serves as Chairman of Southworth Development, which owns and operates 6 internally acclaimed communities, residential, and semi-private golf courses.
Today, Joe focuses his time on making the world a better place. In 2011, he helped form Commonwealth Cares to maximize the impact of Commonwealth’s charitable efforts. In 2012, Joe founded the Deitch Leadership Institute at the Boston Latin School, the oldest public school in the United States.
Now, Joe has turned his attention to overseeing The Elevate Prize; a global organization that donates millions of dollars each year to help “Make Good Famous.” Past winners include Trevor Noah, George and Amal Clooney, and Malala Yousafzai, as well as many impactful and world-changing organizations.
Joe is a Tony Award-winning Broadway producer of The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and the author of the bestselling book, Elevate: An Essential Guide to Life.

MATT DEITCH
MANAGING PARTNER
Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania before receiving his MBA from Wharton. He then went on to work at Boston Consulting Group in Chicago as a consultant and project leader, before returning to work with his father and support a range of associated ventures.
Today, Matt serves as the Managing Partner of Southworth Development, Vice Chair of Commonwealth Financial Network, Board Member for Advisor360, and as Managing Partner of Claridge Venture Partners, where he oversees the fund’s investment portfolio.
In his free time, Matt enjoys skiing, kite surfing, spending time with his family, and screaming in frustration on the golf course.
